The country's largest luxury car maker BMW India, subsidiary of Germany based BMW, is now ready to dive in the Indian luxury small car market and planing to launch its popular small luxury car, BMW Mini Cooper very soon. BMW Mini Cooper is the most popular luxury small car in European market which now will be available in India too. The company will officially launch the all the new BMW Mini Cooper in the Indian market at the upcoming Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. After that it will be available for Indian luxury car lovers.

This petrol model of the luxury hatchback will come powered by a 1.6L, 1598 CC petrol engine that makes max power of 120 Bhp at 6000 rpm top torque of 160 Nm at 4250 rpm. A Six speed manual transmission system is expected to be offered in it. A cheaper priced 1.4L petrol engine variant of the car is also expected that makes peak power of 75 bhp and top torque of 160 Nm. The BMW Mini Cooper mileage is expected 12 kmpl in city and 16 kmpl on highways.
